Let’s play a little game of word association. When you think Easter what comes to mind? For me it’s eggs. Eggs then make me think of bunnies and what do bunnies eat? Carrots! So carrots were my inspiration for this craft.
The idea was to make an easy table arrangement that looked like a carrot and this is what I came up with:
Supplies I used:
- Greenery Bouquet
- Spray Paint (Rustoleum Gloss Real Orange)
- Masking Tape
- Floral Shears (I substituted with wire cutters since I don’t own floral shears)
I first went on a mission to find the perfect carrot shaped vase. I had found one at Hobby Lobby that I thought was somewhat shaped like a carrot and at 50% off I still paid $10 for it. Yikes! I ended up going to the Dollar Tree right afterwards and I’m glad I did because I found a vase that looked more like a carrot than the one I had found at Hobby Lobby and the best part was it was only $1 compared to the one I had found at Hobby Lobby. Needless to say I returned the $10 vase and purchased three of the vases I found at the Dollar Tree.
The vases came in a variety of different colors. I ended up going with the green because the vase has a slight neck and I didn’t want to paint it orange and the green vase would sort of blend in with the greenery.
I taped off the neck of the vase with some masking tape and then spray painted it orange.
The final step was to cut and arrange the greenery. The one bouquet of greenery I purchased was enough to fill the three vases. The only tip I have for cutting your greenery is that if you cut it too short you can’t put them stem back on, but if you cut it too long you can always take more off. Keep that in mind!
And the final out come:
Super simple, yet would look cute on the Easter table!
